GET TO KNOW EPOCH ATHLETE JULES HENINGBURG

Born and raised in Maplewood, NJ, Jules began playing for his local recreation program at 7 years old. He would continue to play competitively through his elementary and middle school years, often playing up with his brother Dylan against older kids. His passion for the sport was evident early on and landed him at Seton Hall Preparatory School in New Jersey, where he also played basketball, capturing a Championship in 2013.

An unranked recruit, Jules would go on to play Big Ten lacrosse at Rutgers University. There, he would lead the resurgence of Rutgers Lacrosse to national prominence. The program would rise to the top of the ranks nationally and become a staple in the Big Ten. He departed Rutgers University as a Two Time Captain, All-Big Ten Player, and All-American. His mark was left on the program as the second all-time point scorer in school history. Jules would make history again as Rutger's highest-ranked professional draft pick, selected 7th overall in the 2018 Major League Lacrosse Draft. He would also go on to be drafted as the #38 pick to the San Diego Seals of the National Lacrosse League.

Opting to move onto the Premier Lacrosse League the following season, he would go on to be a force in the inaugural PLL season.  He would play the first 4 games of the season with the Whipsnakes, before being traded to the Redwoods where he lead the team in points, scoring and ended the season as Top 5 point scorer in the league, PLL All-Star, and contender in the inaugural championship game.
